The Water Department

The Water Department provides administrative, engineering, water treatment, and maintenance support for the

City’s potable water treatment and distribution. Our stringent criteria and regulations ensure we meet or exceed all regulations set forth by the California Department of Public Health and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The Water Department works with the community and local schools to provide education related to conservation and current rebate programs.

Important public notice

The City has partnered with SLWA Insurance Services to offer Vallejo homeowners warranty programs designed to assist them in the event of a costly repair. The Exterior Service Line Warranty Program launched in February, and unfortunately City homeowners received a letter from SLWA containing an error in the description of water service line responsibility.  The letter incorrectly states, " The exterior water service line that runs from your utility's water main and supplies your home with water is your responsibility as the homeowner." It should read, "the exterior water service line that runs from your utility's water meter and supplies your home with water is your responsibility as the homeowner."  We apologize for any confusion, and we look forward to our residents benefitting from these programs! The programs are completely optional and homeowners will not be signed up or charged automatically.  There is no cost to the City of Vallejo and no public funds are used to promote or administer the program.  Click HERE for additional information.
