Kyle Long, Fire Chief

Kyle Long

Chief Kyle Long joined the Vallejo Fire Department in 2003 as a firefighter paramedic. During his 18 years at the department, he has promoted to fire captain and battalion chief. In May 2019 he was appointed to the position of deputy chief. While serving the department in this rank he has been responsible for operations, training, emergency medical services, and fire prevention.

Chief Long is currently a member of the Solano County Fire Chiefs Association, California Fire Chiefs Association, and the International Fire Chiefs Association. He serves as a board member for Leadership Vallejo. Chief Long attended Napa Valley College and NCTI where he received his Paramedic license.

Chief Long is thankful for the ongoing dedication of the Vallejo Firefighters, the backbone of the department, who are committed to serving the City of Vallejo. The support that he receives from the firefighters and administrative staff has been instrumental to his success.

Christina Lee, Communications & Public Information Officer



Christina Lee brings more than fifteen years of public relations experience to the City of Vallejo as their Communications and Public Information Officer. A passionate public servant, the breadth of her work is focused on community service through building positive community relationships. 

Before her appointment with Vallejo, she served as the Public Information Officer for the Napa Valley Transportation Authority. Christina also has an extensive background in crisis communications, having been embedded in multiple emergency operation centers through Northern California crises, such as the Glass Fire and PG&E PSPS events.

Over the years, Christina has developed a multifaceted skill set that includes graphic design, branding, media and public relations, social media content development and management, and digital communication campaigns.

Christina is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and holds a master's degree in Public Administration. She also possesses a BA in Communications Studies from Sonoma State University.

Felicia Flores, Assistant to the City Manager

Felicia Flores

A dedicated public service professional with experience in Human Services, Organizational Development, Utilities and City Administration, Felicia Flores approaches new projects with a true desire to improve lives and uplift others. She currently serves as Assistant to the City Manager where she leads the team responsible for supporting key city projects, programs and initiatives. 


Felicia’s experience demonstrates her love for local government and talent for affecting positive change within the communities she serves. Felicia began her career as an intern with the Redwood City Fire Department. She has since advanced through three public sector organizations and six departments, learning all she could in a variety of diverse roles.  While with the County of San Mateo, Felicia led organizational and regional succession planning initiatives and managed an award-winning Supported Training & Employment Program (STEP) for former foster youth.  For her contributions, she was recognized by the County of San Mateo as Rookie of the Year 2016—an honor bestowed on women who embrace challenges, exhibit integrity and are dedicated to service and growth.


In both her professional and personal life, Felicia strives to lead with courage and kindness. In addition to her role with the City of Vallejo, she is regional co-chair for the Municipal Management Association of Northern California (MMANC) and a member of Women Leading Government.  Felicia holds an MS in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern California and a BS in Business Administration from Cal State East Bay.


Felicia has a yellow lab named Roary and looks forward to life as a newlywed, making a positive impact in a city she’s proud to be part of.
