A dedicated public service professional with experience in Human Services, Organizational Development, Utilities and City Administration, Felicia Flores approaches new projects with a true desire to improve lives and uplift others. She currently serves as Assistant to the City Manager where she leads the team responsible for supporting key city projects, programs and initiatives.
Felicia’s experience demonstrates her love for local government and talent for affecting positive change within the communities she serves. Felicia began her career as an intern with the Redwood City Fire Department. She has since advanced through three public sector organizations and six departments, learning all she could in a variety of diverse roles. While with the County of San Mateo, Felicia led organizational and regional succession planning initiatives and managed an award-winning Supported Training & Employment Program (STEP) for former foster youth. For her contributions, she was recognized by the County of San Mateo as Rookie of the Year 2016—an honor bestowed on women who embrace challenges, exhibit integrity and are dedicated to service and growth.
In both her professional and personal life, Felicia strives to lead with courage and kindness. In addition to her role with the City of Vallejo, she is regional co-chair for the Municipal Management Association of Northern California (MMANC) and a member of Women Leading Government. Felicia holds an MS in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern California and a BS in Business Administration from Cal State East Bay.
Felicia has a yellow lab named Roary and looks forward to life as a newlywed, making a positive impact in a city she’s proud to be part of.
